Welcome! In this module, we will go over what to expect from the course start to end, tips to succeed in learning self-defense, gear recomendations on a budget, and how it is in fact possible to learn the entire course 100% solo.

MINDSET TRAINING

Your ability to protect yourself means very little without developing a robust mental fortitude. In this module we go over ways to mentally strengthen ourselves as well as ways we can use a proven concept called "mental rehersal", also known as "visualization", to increase our ability to learn new physical and mental skills as we train. We will also cover how to develp our situational awareness in order to be more proactive in protecting ourselves.

DEFENSIVE FITNESS

This is not a fitness course, there will be no focus on six pack abs or rippling muscles, or how much you bench. We do however focus on ways to improve our most basic level of general fitness for effective personal protection. Our fight foundation is where we go over blocking, kicking, and punching. Adam has taught hand-to-hand based self-defense to ages ranging from 3 to 73, including time as an accredited self-defense instructor at Western Washington University under the Psychology and Physical Education departments.
